Getting Started

How to Generate a QR Code

  1. Open Links to QR

  2. Enter any URL in the text field

  3. (Optional) Tap "Paste" to paste from clipboard

  4. (Optional) Expand "Customize QR Code" to change colors, styles, and add logos

  5. (Optional) Tap "Add Expiration" to set a time limit

  6. Tap "Generate QR"

  7. Your QR code appears below

How to Share a QR Code

  1. Generate a QR code

  2. Tap the "Share" button

  3. Choose how to share (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, etc.)

  4. The QR code image will be shared

How to Save to Gallery

  1. Generate a QR code

  2. Tap the "Save" button

  3. The QR code will be saved to your Photos app

  4. Grant photo library permission if prompted

QR Code Customization

Change QR Colors

  1. Tap "Customize QR Code" to expand

  2. Tap "QR Color" to choose the QR code color

  3. Tap "Background" to choose background color

  4. Use the color wheel to select your preferred color

Change QR Style

  1. Expand "Customize QR Code"

  2. Choose between "Square" or "Dots" for QR pattern

  3. Choose between "Square Eyes" or "Round Eyes" for corner patterns

Add a Logo

  1. Expand "Customize QR Code"

  2. Tap "Add Logo"

  3. Select an image from your photo library

  4. Crop the logo to fit (square format recommended)

  5. Your logo appears in the center of the QR code

Remove a Logo

  1. Tap the "X" icon next to the logo preview

  2. The logo will be removed from the QR code

Expiring QR Codes

Create an Expiring QR Code

  1. Enter your URL

  2. Tap "Add Expiration (Optional)"

  3. Select a date

  4. Select a time

  5. Generate the QR code

  6. The QR will only work until the expiration date/time

How Expiring QR Codes Work
When scanned, the QR redirects to a web page
The web page checks if the QR has expired
If valid, it redirects to your destination URL
If expired, it shows an expiration message
Requires internet connection to verify expiration

Remove Expiration

  1. Tap the "X" button next to the expiration date

  2. The QR will become permanent (non-expiring)

QR Code Scanner

Scan a QR Code

  1. Tap the QR scanner icon (next to the paste button)

  2. Grant camera permission if prompted

  3. Point your camera at a QR code

  4. The detected URL will automatically populate the text field

  5. Tap "Generate QR" to create a QR code from the scanned URL

QR Code History

View Your History

  1. Tap "History" at the bottom of the main screen

  2. All previously generated QR codes appear in a list

  3. Most recent QR codes appear at the top

Share from History

  1. Open History page

  2. Tap the share icon on any QR code card

  3. Choose how to share

Delete from History

  1. Open History page

  2. Tap the trash icon on any QR code card

  3. The QR code will be permanently removed

Clear All History
Currently, you must delete items individually
Or uninstall and reinstall the app to clear all data

Troubleshooting

QR Code Won't Generate

Issue: "Please enter a link" error
Solution: Make sure you've typed or pasted a URL in the text field

Issue: URL validation fails
Solution: Check that your URL is valid and accessible
Solution: Tap "Continue" in the validation dialog to generate anyway

Issue: "Failed to create expiring QR"
Solution: Check your internet connection
Solution: Make sure expiration date is in the future
Solution: Try again in a few moments

QR Code Won't Scan

Issue: Camera doesn't open
Solution: Grant camera permission in Settings > Privacy > Camera > Links to QR
Solution: Restart the app

Issue: QR code not detected
Solution: Ensure good lighting
Solution: Hold camera steady and focus on the QR code
Solution: Try moving closer or farther from the QR code

Share/Save Not Working

Issue: Can't save to gallery
Solution: Grant photo library permission in Settings > Privacy > Photos > Links to QR
Solution: Check available storage space

Issue: Share fails on iPad
Solution: This is a known iOS behavior, try using the Save option instead

Logo Upload Issues

Issue: Can't select logo
Solution: Grant photo library permission in Settings
Solution: Make sure you have images in your photo library

Solution: Try selecting a different image

Privacy and Data

What data does the app collect?

URLs you enter for QR generation (stored locally)
QR code history (stored locally on your device)
For expiring QR codes: URL, expiration date, scan count (stored securely)
Camera and photo access only when you use those features

Privacy details are available inside the app.

How do I delete my data?

Delete local data
Open History and delete individual QR codes
Or uninstall the app to remove all local data

Delete expiring QR data
Expiring QR codes automatically become inaccessible after expiration
Expired data is automatically cleaned up after 30 days

Is my data secure?

Yes
All network traffic is encrypted
Stored data is encrypted in transit and at rest
We use anonymous authentication
Photo and camera access requires your explicit permission
