PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST AND WHY
Location Permission
The app requests location permission to access your WiFi network name (SSID). This is a technical requirement imposed by iOS to use the NetworkInfo API.
Important: While we request location permission, we do NOT access, collect, or store your actual location data. This permission is only used to retrieve the name of the WiFi network you're currently connected to, and this happens only when you tap the "Use Current" button.
Photo Library Permission
The app requests photo library access only when you choose to save a QR code to your photo library. We do not access, view, scan, or collect any other photos or media on your device.
HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED
WiFi Network Information
When you enter WiFi network details (network name, password, security type) into the app:
- All information remains on your device only
- QR codes are generated locally on your device
- No WiFi credentials are ever transmitted over the internet
- No WiFi information is stored on any server
- Historical QR codes are saved only on your device using local storage
Local Storage
The app uses local storage (SharedPreferences) on your device to:
- Save your last 20 generated QR codes for quick access
- Store your QR customization preferences (colors)
This data:
- Remains on your device only
- Is never transmitted or uploaded anywhere
- Can be deleted by uninstalling the app
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Google AdMob
WiFi QR Generator uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information to serve personalized ads, including:
- Device information (device model, OS version)
- Ad interaction data
- Anonymous identifiers

Since we do not collect or transmit your data, there is minimal security risk. All QR codes and WiFi information you enter remain on your device and are protected by your device's security features (passcode, biometric authentication, encryption).
