 QR CHECKING - SUPPORT AND HELP


Welcome to QR Checking Support


This page provides help and support information for QR Checking, a business check-in system using QR code technology.


Getting Started


Creating an Account:

1. Download and open the QR Checking app

2. Tap "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google"

3. Follow the authentication prompts

4. Your account will be created automatically


First-Time Setup:

1. After signing in, you'll see the home screen

2. Tap the "+" button to create your first business

3. Enter business details (name, type, address)

4. Configure optional fields if needed

5. Tap "Create Business" to save


Managing Businesses


Creating a Business:

1. Tap the "+" button on the home screen

2. Fill in the required information:

   - Business Name

   - Business Type

   - Address

   - Contact Number (optional)

   - Email (optional)

   - Website (optional)

3. Add custom fields using the toggle switches

4. Save your business


Editing a Business:

1. Open the business detail screen

2. Tap the edit icon in the top-right corner

3. Modify the information as needed

4. Save your changes


Deleting a Business:

1. Swipe left on a business in the home screen list

2. Tap the delete button

3. Confirm the deletion

Note: This will also delete all associated check-ins


Working with QR Codes


Viewing Your QR Code:

1. Tap on a business from the home screen

2. The QR Code tab displays your unique QR code

3. Visitors can scan this code to check in


Sharing Your QR Code:

1. On the business detail screen, tap the share button

2. The QR code will be saved as an image

3. Choose how to share (Messages, Email, AirDrop, etc.)

4. Recipients can save or scan the image


Accessing Web Check-In:

Each business has a unique web link for check-ins:

https://qrchecking-ad6d0.web.app?code=[YOUR_CODE]

Share this link with visitors who cannot scan the QR code


Managing Check-Ins


Viewing Check-Ins:

1. Open a business detail screen

2. Switch to the "Check-Ins" tab

3. See a list of all visitor check-ins

4. Active check-ins are shown with a green indicator


Check-In Details:

1. Tap on any check-in from the list

2. View complete visitor information

3. See check-in time, duration, and status

4. View any custom field responses


Checking Out a Visitor:

1. Open the check-in detail screen

2. Tap the "Check Out" button

3. The check-out time will be recorded

4. Duration will be calculated automatically


Deleting Check-Ins:

1. Open the check-in detail screen

2. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Check-In"

3. Confirm the deletion


Visitor Check-In Process


For Visitors (Using QR Code):

1. Scan the business QR code with your device camera

2. You'll be directed to the web check-in page

3. Fill in your information (name, email, phone)

4. Add visit purpose and any notes

5. Complete custom fields if present

6. Tap "Check In" to submit


For Visitors (Using Web Link):

1. Open the provided check-in link

2. Follow the same process as QR code check-in


Notifications


Push Notification Setup:

1. When first opening the app, allow notifications

2. You'll receive alerts for new check-ins

3. Notifications show visitor name and business


Managing Notifications:

- Enable/disable in iOS Settings > QR Checking > Notifications

- Choose notification style and sounds

- Customize lock screen appearance


Troubleshooting


Cannot Sign In:

- Ensure you have an active internet connection

- Check if Apple/Google sign-in is working

- Try force-closing and reopening the app

- Update to the latest app version


QR Code Not Working:

- Ensure the QR code image is clear and well-lit

- Try increasing screen brightness

- Use the web link as an alternative

- Regenerate the QR code if needed


Check-Ins Not Appearing:

- Pull down on the check-ins list to refresh

- Verify internet connection

- Ensure you're viewing the correct business

- Check if the check-in was completed successfully


Push Notifications Not Received:

- Verify notifications are enabled in Settings

- Check internet connectivity

- Ensure the app is updated

- Try signing out and back in


App Crashes or Freezes:

- Force close and restart the app

- Restart your device

- Check for app updates

- Clear app cache if needed


Account and Data


Updating Profile:

Your profile information comes from your Apple or Google account and updates automatically.


Data Backup:

All data is automatically backed up to Firebase cloud storage. Your information is safe and accessible from any device.


Exporting Data:

Currently, data export is not available. Contact support if you need your data.


Deleting Your Account:

1. Go to Settings in the app

2. Tap "Delete Account"

3. Confirm deletion

4. All your data will be permanently removed


Privacy and Security


Data Protection:

- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest

- Only you can access your business and check-in data

- We never share your data with third parties

- Review our Privacy Policy for complete details


Security Best Practices:

- Keep your device OS updated

- Use secure passwords for Apple/Google accounts

- Don't share your QR codes publicly without consideration

- Regularly review your check-in data

A: Yes, QR Checking is completely free with no subscription fees.

A: There is no limit on the number of businesses you can create.

A: Currently, each business is managed by the account that created it. Sharing features may be added in future updates.


Q: How long are check-in records stored?

A: Check-in records are stored indefinitely until you delete them or delete the business.


Q: Can visitors check out themselves?

A: Currently, only business owners can check out visitors. Self-checkout may be added in the future.


Q: Does the app work offline?

A: The app requires an internet connection to sync data. Some features may have limited offline functionality.


Q: Can I customize the check-in form?

A: Yes, you can add custom fields when creating or editing a business.


Q: Is my data secure?

A: Yes, all data is encrypted and stored securely using Google Firebase services.
